The Brisbane Lions have re-signed for the 50-50 Charity Raffle to raise funds for charity partners across the 2024 season. 

This year, each charity partner will be given a dedicated Lions home game to support their cause, with promotional activities adding to the funds raised through the 50-50 Charity Raffle.

Members and fans can pre-purchase 50-50 Charity Raffle tickets online to support these great charities as well as supporting them on game day at The Gabba.

As part of Opening Round the Lions will be raising funds for the Women’s Legal Service, with a guaranteed $50,000 prize on offer.

Brisbane Lions CEO, Greg Swann said the club is committed to supporting our wider community and want to lend a helping hand to those who need it most.

“It is fantastic that we can support these charities and help raise funds which enables these organisations to deliver services to the community.

“Since joining forces with 50-50 Charity Raffle in 2019 , we’ve helped to  raise almost $880,000  for our charity partners.  

“The work that these charities do is amazing and often unsung, so being able to help these organisations fundraise is a real privilege.”

Sascha Coglan, General Manager of 50-50 Charity Raffle, said the partnership with the Lions is going from strength to strength.

“The 50-50 Charity Raffle is proud to work with sporting clubs and community organisations to raise valuable funds for Australian causes,” Coglan said.

“We’re thrilled to foster a strong partnership with the Brisbane Lions, enhancing game day excitement for fans and giving them the chance to win big cash prizes while supporting Lions Legacy charities.

“We’re excited for the season ahead and encourage members and fans to help support the Lions Legacy charities and the Queenslanders they support. Lions Legacy will feature as a partner this year who assists to drive outcomes through a range of areas from scholarships to community programs helping those who need assistance.

A major change this year will see the Lions, in conjunction with Lions Legacy, put up a guaranteed minimum prize for each raffle which will aim to boost the funds raised for each charity.

The 50-50 Charity Raffle sees half of the funds raised go to one lucky winner with the charity partner receiving the remaining funds.
